Default NZ Birds

Not taken with a Pentax so hope you don't mind - just a taster, I'll be putting more up elsewhere.

Takahe - not more than 200 remain. Flightless bird. Mother feeding her solitary chick.

Bellbird - only found in a few special native NZ bush parks. Has the most gorgeous vocalisation and range.

Royal (Southern) Albatross

Great shots of birds unfamiliar to Westerners. Especially nice to see the Takahes. Same three on your Smugmug page - where is /will be "elsewhere?"

Amazing birds, and skilled captures. Colors, detail, action... Thanks so much for sharing. To re-echo Penolta's question - please do let us know when & where the others are posted.

Thank you very much for your kind comments guys !

Pen - I'll keep adding to my Smugmug and then just put them up in a suitable forum as and when. I'm afraid the bird/wildlife forums here see very little traffic and of course I can't put too many on any Pentax forums (naturally enough it makes some unhappy whilst others support my posting).

Probably the most will find their way onto FM (Fred Miranda) since that is the forum I frequent most often - though some of those guys are top pros and it can be intimidating to put my bird shots up there (I'm happy enough posting my sports shots) !
