Default May Challenge, Simplicity

For May I thought we would go with a minimalist theme, simplify. Choose an image with a strong graphic content but not too much else.

Again, I apologize for the late posting, I have been busy.

The rules are as usual, shot with a Pentax?Samsung DSLR within the last 90 days. Image size should be 800 pixels on the long axis to make them easier to load and view on a variety of screens.

I have included two examples to get you thinking, one is a building near sunset and the other is of a penny-farthing bicycle.

Have fun

Good choice Ira. It will be interesting to see how everyone interprets the theme!

Indeed a very interesting topic!

My first thought was of a series I was working on last week, of our recently-blooming Pink Lady's Slipper, trying some "minimalist" views. So here is my entry for May.

This photo may be a bit "busy" for the Simplicity theme but my interpretation is that even with all of the flowers and buds and limbs in the photo, there's only focus on 1 tiny, simple, beautiful flower. It's simplicity among complexity.

Great entries so far, but let's get some more in, remember that simplicity can be achieved in many different ways, such as concentrating on the details.

Hey everyone . . . any room for a Pentax Q owner? Love the theme.
Take care,

Glen, Ira is running this month, but when I hosted it a couple of months ago, I specifically opened it up to both the Q and the K01 - defined it as being open to Pentax or Samsung interchangeable lens cameras. I thought that was a good idea, we have been having dwindling number of entries for the past 6 months.
