Default Least Bittern Fishing

I had the opportunity to observe this juvenile Least Bittern looking for a meal from a reed along the shore. Good for me the bird caught a meal, along with a little salad. Bad for me it turned away from me to make the catch, leaving me with the wrong end to photograph. maybe next time my luck will be better.

Nice captures and for once a butt shot you can be proud of.

Nice crisp shots Ed. You got some nice shots of the bird, the rest is just luck

Terrific series, very sharp and you can see that determination in his eyes, well captured.

LOL. You do what you can do with a hard to find bird. Not a shot many people would be likely to get, under any circumstances!

That's the view of birds I'm most likely to get - your series is much more interesting than mine are though. I love the first one, such a good picture.
