Default Amazing Sand Sculptures

A yearly event in Hampton Beach, NH. Our first time there-helps to be retired.
About (10) sculptures-a five day event.
Ist DS DA 16-45 Minor cropping

Thanks for the kind words-each sculptor gets an 18-0 x 18-0 area-then (10) tons of special sand is brought in for each of them. They must do all the work themselves except for (1) helper who brings buckets of water. These people go all over the world-some do ice sculptures, also. First place was $3000.00. They all get free room & board. IMHO this is the ultimate creativity-no plans or dwgs-everything done spontaneously.

All I can say is WOW! I went to a local sand castle show one day but there was only one that was good, the rest were done by beginners, I think. Or else the good ones were gone after the first day and I was there the second day. There was nothing like these - these are incredible. Nicely photographed, too - because the sculptures I was looking at were pretty boring, I spent most of my time shooting the dogs that were on the beach next to the sculptures (special dog beach).
