I like both Indian Pipe shots equally - the landscape is best for context (habitat) and the portrait for detail.

Glad you found the orchids doing well - they are rather special.
If life brings you lemons, you can make lemonade.

I, too, am drawn to the Indian Pipe shots. Enjoying fine photography and learning something..... good combo
