Default Hi Everyone Pentax K50 Issue Question

Hi Everyone!
I bought a Pentax K50 camera for my daughter at Adorama about 1.5 years ago.. since I owned a Pentax ME-Super some time ago.
My problem: When the K50 camera is set to Manual mode, it automatically turns into the TAV mode (when it is still in Manual Mode) setting.
We sent the camera back for repair to Pentax about 5 times... I even asked them to upgrade the camera and that I would pay the difference because they could not fix the K50. However, they said no unfortunately.
Even though \we probably will not buy another Pentax Camera, we are stuck with it.
Anyways, has anyone with a Pentax K50 ever have the same issue? If so, how did you fix it. What would you do in my situation?
Thanks for your help!
Sincerely, Mister

Your frustration is understandable. I suggest you turn to DPreview.com and it's Pentax subforum, which is more gear-oriented. Or maybe PentaxForums.com, a site wich is totally dedicated to Pentax. It's got subforums for everything, including subforums for specific Pentax camera models. On Steve's it's more about sharing pictures.
Personally I haven't got or even held a K50 camera, so unfortunately I can't help you out on this one. Maybe it's only a setting in the menu.
