After a month of shooting (3000+ pictures) with the *ist DS I'd like to share some of my pictures, perhaps it will help interested people with their decision.

I haven't had any experiences with a SLR before, I take photos for hobby purposes. I really enjoy the ease of use of the *ist DS, its size!, and most of all the fact that it allows use of old (cheap) lenses.

The following pictures were shot with the 18-55mm kit lens:

(taken with an infrared filter)

(gone through auto levels in photoshop)

This picture was taken with a old secondhand 50mm f1.4 lens, and iso 1600

These pictures were taken with a old secondhand 28mm f2.8 lens

(edited in photoshop)

More pictures can be found on my website, http://snagt.net.
I keep a diary and photobook over there in which *ist DS pictures are posted. More information on the lenses I use can also be found in the diary.

After previous disappointments with the A200 & CP8800, I've finally decided on the istDS & so far, I like what it does. I'd forgotten what an SRL was like to use & it's stirred some of those old memories.

Fast to focus, quick to shoot & a pleasure to use.

Here's one of my 1st pictures taken indoors in dim light with flash; I think it's the cat's whiskers!!
