I purchased two more lenses last week, A Tamron 90 Macro and a Tamron 28-75, both Di's. They are both very sharp.

I also got haze filters for all and bought probably the most important piece of equipment next to the camera and lens .... a very good tripod.

I purchased the Manfrotto 458B along with the Monfrotto 3029 Basic Pan Tilt Head ... they work together just great. I wanted a very stable platform and I wanted total adjustability, without getting into carbon legs and ball heads.

If you don't know what this tripod is, it is new to the market, there are no leg clamps or things to unscrew, you just pull the legs down and use the release button to push legs back up, it is VERY,VERY fast and easy. This unit has a horizontal column and will get to ground level, it's a very nice set up.

Yes, it is quite expensive but it you are not steady with slow shudder speeds, doing macro work, or using a long lens you are wasting your time unless your platform is solid. Camera shake, even the littlest, completely ruins the photo.

Let me know what you think,

whew... from the specs it looks like a great choice for a tripod but 330usd is just too steep for me.. congrats on a great piece of equipment!!!
