What does everyone set the color saturation, image sharpness and the contrast to? Looks like default is in the middle, right is light and left is high.

I've been taking some macro pictures of flowers and it looks like the multi segment metering on the top of the camera is the best to use. Do you agree?

When I use spot metering like it seems would be correct for real close up, the pictures are dark, they fix easily in Paint Shop but doesn't seem the best way to take pictures, is to plan on fixing them all. Does it?

Basically, I've left everything at default Except:

1. Linking AF Point & AE During MultiSegment Metering is set to ON

2. Selecting Focus Point is set to SELECT

I tend to use Tv mode set to a minimum of 1/125S to esure maximum Av whilst keeping the speed high enough to reduce camera shake.

I've used Spot Metering & agree - it's less forgiving & can result in under exposed shots.

I vary the exposure between MultiSegment - useful 'cause i tracks the focus point but also find Center Weighted useful.

I still find that I have to Post Process to get the exposure right by adjusting the histogram in Photoshop using a touch of UnSharpMask to improve the sharpness.
