What batteries do you guys use in your flashes? Ive been using just standard aklalines (industrial energizers) because the lady at the camera store told me the recycle time of NiMH is too slow.

Do you guys use your rechargable NiMHs in the flash? if so what is the mAh rating. I have 2500mAh and they do seem a little slower at recycling and seem to take even longer when they are almost run down.

My current alkaline energizers have lasted, probably about 300 shots and are still going

i use 2000-2500s in mine all the time. yes they are slower. it's because NiMH rechargables are rated at 1.2volts where as the alkalines are rated at 1.5.

my flash, af400ftz, uses 4 of them. they last quite a while and i can put up w/the slower charge rate. replace alkies once and you paid for a set of NiMH.
