Can anyone provide testimonials on the performance of the Sigma 18mm-200mm zoom on their *istDL/DS cameras? I am looking for a single lens that will give me broad coverage. I understand that Tamron has a lens with the same zoom capability. Any feedback on the Tamron would be appreciated as well. Thanks!

Whilst the Sigma offered better optics thanthe Tamron, it would not focus correctly beyond 135mm (a feature apparently which has been commended on in reviews) I concluded that I was not prepared to sacrifice on quality just foe convenience - ultimately, I opted to compliment my Pentax 18-55mm kit lens with a Pentax 50-200mm lens; results from the Pentax 50-200mm lens are just superb.
