Yeah, I get better ones with the shorter exposures, but with this storm, the lightning was not very frequent and far away. I would like to use longer exposures on things like photographing stars, planets and comets, and I'm not sure that 200 is sensitive enough for those kinds of shots. You are right though 800 iso is a bit much for lightning. I'll definitely be looking at those programs.     Thanks for the advice and demonstrations. If anyone knows, I'd still like tohear a comparison of how Pentax's noise reduction works compared to the latest Canon EOS Digital Rebel.
