•14,6 Megapiksler (CMOS sensor) :blah:Translate yourself, lazy!
•Optisk billedstabilisering (Image sensor shift mechanism)Ditto! •Huset er motstandsdyktig mot regn, sand og støv Dust and damp sealed •Dobbel støvfjerning på billedbrikken Double dust removal on sensor •Stor 2,7" LCD skjermBig 2,7" screen •Søkerbilde på LCD (Live View) Try to understand that in Norwegian:-) •Ett- trykks RAW opptak One press RAW recording •Følsomhet inntil 3200 ISO Sensitivity up to 3200 ISO Veil pris ca. kr 9.995,- USD 1835, EUR 1276, GBP 945 To me this looks and sounds like a substantially upgraded K10D. If high ISO sensitivity is improved there will be one (a Pentax, supposedly) in my bag before next christmas. Of course there might be a "Pentax original" fee, lets see about that on the 24th. gawd, for $1835 that better include the 12-24 that's pictured with it. seriously if the new k20d comes out at $1800that's going to be a tad out of my price range. i was thinking $1299, but certainly less than $1500. i knew the weak us dollar would eventually catch up to us and raise the cost of our camera gear.

Hi Folks.
I am new here, but have visited this forum and this website many times over the years...As for the price of $1800.00+ dollars, it is both good and bad...Good in that it will let the rest of the world know what a great camera Pentax puts out as most folks believe that more $$$$ means more quality...BAD for the Pentax folks who do not need to be sold on Pentax and mearly want an upgrade, Like myself... |

well a canon 40d runs 1,037 euros (body only) from amazon.eu
a canon 40d runs 1,149 dollars (body only) from amazon.com not that it really means anything, but maybe $1,800 for us in the usa is a tad off. the usa marketplace will dictate the price and competition from other makers will influence the pricing. i'm still holding onto my $1299 prediction. |

I hope your right. At 12-1300 bucks I will get one the day they are available, but at 1800.00 I would rather wait until the bugs are sorted out.

I don't think I'll be getting a K20D, as live view doesn't really interest me. Wheather sealing does, but more than 1000 euros is just over my budget for a camera body... I will get either a K200D or a K10D though, depending on the performance at ISO 800 and higher & price of the K200D. My *ist DL will be 2 years (and out of warranty) in april ![]() Tom |

Hi, jgredline! Welcome from a part-time LA person.
I'm going to pass on this camera, I think. I have my two camera bodies and from this information, I don't have any desire to upgrade (still quite happy with my K10 and K100). It's going to be interesting to see what actually gets released and how everyone gets along with it. |
