I'm making slow progress on sorting through images from my travels to Washington, DC two weekends ago. I drove into town on a Friday evening to photgraph the Jefferson Memorial during the fading hours of light. All taken with the
K20D and DA*16-50 mm. From across the Tidal Basin. A great place to vew aircraft leaving Regan National Airport. ![]() In the light of the setting sun: ![]() I found a quiet side to the memorial. . . ![]() I loitered around until the sun went down and captured this: ![]() This was my third visit to DC and each one has been very inspiring. The dedications to and memorials of the Great Americans in our nation's history makes me one very Grateful American! More to come from the trip in a later thread! 2 & 4 work for me. I like the lighting in each of them.

Nice work.
I like No. 4 best, but there is something simplistic about No.3 (the combination of the warm light and the blue sky showing between the pillars) that keeps drawing me back to it. Lou |

All very nice. My favorite is the 4th one, but like the second and third very much, too, because I love the lighting.

Nice job, jehan. I really, really liked #3 and then I saw #4. Now I can't tell which I like better.
