Maybe the idea is to make people want to collect them

Imagine if it was so and that we'd get a rage just like in the time of the 'swatch' watches , i remember collector's going mad and paying crazy prices for just plain simple plastic watches.

haha...that would be interesting...

I saw a silver japan model on ebay a week or two ago. That thing sold for a premium. 800+ That's just for the 18-55 kit.

It will be the rage for a short time like most things and I never thought it would be infused into the DSLR market. Oh well, I am seeing just about everything. I will stick with Black.

I thought I'd always want black, but the more I looked at the white, the more I liked it. Maybe someday I can take a flyer on one, it's really calling my name. I don't need it, but I sure would like one.
