Hi all,
I was wandering down the beach, didn't see the little fellow. |

Amazing shots! Incredible how tame that little fellow is, and how people are leaving him alone.

Simon, I have to admit, I was SO glad to see your second photo. I looked at this thread with only one shot showing, and my first thought was "Why is he showing us something so disturbing? A dead seal pup? Is it a plea for environmental sensitivity?" I had no idea what to say.
So, I am thrilled to see the pup alive and frolicking. It's a really cool series of photos. Paul |

Hi all,
Thanks for your comments. He is the same seal in my November challenge entry. My friends & I were very concerned also with the pup there by itself, we rang the local fisheries & wildlife people who said it was common place to see this type of thing at this time of the year, pups branching out on there own, and for us to leave him alone & he should be able to take care of himself, we left the beach a while latter and returned the next day to find no trace of him so I presume he was ok. Wonderful series. He looked quite energetic in the second shot. In the others he looked tired and in need of a good rest.

Great series (very well photograohed), and great story - guess he's a typical "teenager" just learning to be out on his own!
