i have a second hand pentax optio s40 which is reading "memory card error".
when i opend the camera, i found that one of the pins in the card section is bent so i straighten it. all pins are touching the memory card now but it is still reading the same message. the internal memory works fine though. can someone helps me as how i can fix this problem? vinaka kems:? |

I have the exact same situation with a Pentax Optio S40. Were you ever able to resolve the Memory Card Error" message after you fixed the bent pin?

I'm guessing that you're using an SD card that is >2GB, which isn't supported because Pentax is too cheap to write a firmware update to support SDHC cards.
