I'm still in a holding pattern on my decision and am beginning to believe that the nikon is popular because of it's brand. More noncamera peeps have heard of Nikon. I've read just as many horrible reviews as outstanding for the x70 & p90! I know there are better pt & shoots but I want the 24x zoom and can't afford Dslr prices!!

So far the only smaller zoom I'd consider is the Pan Fz28
but it's price has shot upwards of almost $500!! Th new Fz35 was announced today & I can only imagine it's going to be higher than that. Still only 18x zoom but the reviews are so impressive I would give that up. I'll most likely wait to see what happens here with the prices..

In the meantime.. What are the opinions of the x70 vs p90? Both seem to be dropping a bit in price.
