Default Question for Steve: your Optio S test pics

Hi Steve,

I compared your test pics of the Optio S4 and the S and i noticed, that S4 is much sharper

So, is it possible that your optio s model was defect ? Was the sharpness setting set to middle ?
Can you explain this phenomenon ? I believe the lens is the same and the 4Mpix should not make that difference neither. So it must be the Software or an improved circuit. Maybe a better compression algorithm Ė compression ratio is about the same in both cams. Any suggestions ?

Is there firmware upgrade available for the Optio S ? I do have version V 1.00

I own a Optio S and I am thinking about bying the S4 to get sharper pics. Donít care about the 3Mpix

Thanks a lot,

We shoot all of our test pictures using the factory default settings unlesss otherwise noted underneath of the sample photos.

I am not aware of any firmware upgrades for the Optio S.
