Default Careless Fisherman during Hurricane Isabel

They say every picture tells a story right?... well this story needs 4 pictures to tell it.

I'll start the story with a synopsis. My fiance (Unisonbbs) and I went to Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth to take pictures of the sea swells caused by Hurricane Isabel. It was a breathtaking sight to see with swells of 4-6 feet on an incoming tide. After taking several pictures this guy climbs down on the rocks and proceeds to start fishing. Now having lived beside the ocean my whole life I have a healthy respect for the power of tide changes especially during Hurricanes & Nor'easters. Seeing this guy climb right down to the tide line my immediate thought was "what an idiot". This is a pictorial of the consequences of his foolishness.

He wasn't hurt --well not physically anyhow, I couldn't vouch for his pride!

You couldn't have said it better about the lack of common sense. Sometime back I had also posted a pic which showed similar bahavior from a tourist in Hawaii that was trying to get the perfect shot from a rock being pounded by roaring surf.

Some folks just don't get it.
