Spent a week in Edinburgh in August, the fringe festival was on all week and the
place was full of street performers it was a photographers target rich environment.
I loved the place, it was my first real attempt at this kind of photography

All shot on my Nikon D90 with my Nikon 70-300 lens on

thanks for sharing some good portrait shots here 1,2,3,4, are fine like the sax player and the first just a shame you cut the curve off the saxaphone but it is still good on number 4 i would crop the wannaburger sign out as it is distracting ,,,, the last one is kinda freaky they look like dummys manaquins?

Cheers for the comment, i was a little disapointed with myself that i cropped the sax out.
I actually quite like the burger sign, no idea why, maybe it was because i lined the shot
up to include it but i can see that it could be distracting...

The last are an Australian theatre group that were performing in Edinburgh at the time.

They moved up and down the royal mile extremely slowly like that handing out
leaflets of the show, they certainly provided some interesting shots...

Im glad you explained the last pic. I thought they were a group of anti everything protesters handing out flyers. They remind me of a cartoon I once saw in which a guy with long hair and a beard wearing dark glasses and a turtle neck sweater and black pants carried a placard which said "I AM A NON CONFORMIST". Behind him was an army of guys with long hair and beards wearing dark glasses and a turtle neck sweater and black pants carrying similar placards which said "I AM A NON CONFORMIST". In your pic the bald heads and similar clothing is a strong reminder of that cartoon.
