Default Too Pixelated?

Hi guys,

So, I'll confess, I wanted to make a cool looking profile pic for my Facebook page!

Before i unleash it on all my 'friends' I'd really appreciate some feedback!

I converted my flat into a makeshift studio for this shot. This was the lighting setup:

Key light was from a Quantuum 600 fired through a large softbox angled down at the model (1/16 power).
Fill light was a a Vivitar 285HV fired through a softbox camera right (1/4 power).
Additional fill was from a white reflector on my lap.

Many thanks,

I saw the "pixellated" question title and saw your name as the author and wondered, you're superb in what you do, you couldn't be possibly be asking for opinion on something no one can touch. Then I saw the pic and saw the humor. It's funny.

The expression on your face matches your predicament (of being pixellated). Sort of like one of those poor extras that gets zapped first early in a sci-fi movie.

Yes, I think that would make for a great profile photo.

Thanks for the info on lighting.

Nice work but I don't think it will work as well when resized down to a facebook profile pic which I think is only 50x50? You might need to be much more severe with the pixellation for it to still show up

I was thinking the same as Martin. Maybe larger pixels, or pixelate the whole right side (rather than just your face)?
Very cool, though.
