a village is missing their Village Idiot!

This Idiot was standing on a downward pointing bolder with a 500 foot drop below him:

Uh-oh. Funny.

I actually oftentimes want to do the same. I carry a waist-high tripod in NYC which often is not high enough to clear guardrails. To get a clear shot of a scene (without guardrails) I have to be on the other side. So instead of endangering myself I put my tripod on the other side and make sure the camera strap is slung around my neck so if it falls I go with it just kidding.
