I bought a Tamron 17-50 2.8 (non stabilized)a couple of weeks ago and I'm very happy with it. Yesterday, I was playing in the flowers with my 90mm macro when my little nephew came over to visit. I decided to break out my new lens and have some fun...He was having a blast playing in his pool southern style! After watering some flowers he saw my tripod sitting near by and wanted to "water" it. 1st photo-"but why can't I water it?" Then, he decided to "water" me while I was proned out on my stomach getting a low profile shot of him. He yelled, "I'm coming to get you!!!" and came running with his cup full of water! I jumped up so fast, he might as well have had a gun pointed at me! I just did avoid my camera, new lens and flash getting drenched! He did get my legs and shoes....my camera...SAFE!!!
