Had a go at a quick portrait, just loved the hat. All comments and advice welcome

I would try to lighten up some of the shadow area to get a bit better balance. The sunshine on the wall draws the viewer eye away form the hat.

Hi There - yes I agree with you, I was a bit disappointed with the sunshine on the wall. Have to admit I am not to good on PP'ing, so all advice welcome.

Nice shot, maybe a little more PP work to get more pop. BTW has Inspector Gadget asked for his hat back?

Finally had a go at some pp'ing - just interested to see if you guys think it has made a difference. Cropped the shot a bit as well to get rid of the strong sunlight area.

Hi, DyaneG. I kind of prefer the original. The skin tone looks more natural there while the second one looks just a tiny bit tad redder. Maybe sharpening (and denoising before sharpening?) is all it needs. But it could just be my monitor. I can see why you took the shot though -- the hat seems to make him feel good.

Hi VV, thanks for the feedback - I think you are correct, the skin tone looks redder on my screen as well - did not notice that before. Back to the drawing board
