Hey Mike - I think you did a great job with the flash work here. I also like her standing at the edge of the surf - just enough water on the feet but you still see them. My only gripe is - I'm not a fan of her looking off-camera because we have no idea what she's looking at. That kind of looks awkward to me. I think that type of shot works better when you can see a bit of what the subject is looking at but here it's a complete mystery. So, my preference would be to have her look toward you.

JohnG

I agree with your thoughts on the "looking off into the distance" pose.

In this particular shot I tried to get her to do something other then smiling at the camera. She couldn't give a pose without smiling. She would just start laughing while trying to hold a straight look. Silly teenage girl.

Thanks John, you bring up constructive critique that I and others should consider while doing a shoot like this one.

Lessen for next time, have your teenage model practice holding a straight face prior to the shoot.

The feet;

This kid had some of the biggest feet I've ever seen on a person her size. I think there bigger mine.

I really wasn't sure about showing them.

I like it.

It's a nice PIX.

As for foot size, the phenomena was all over the news big time even this morning:

IMO JohnG is correct you just need a few more poses to select from as the lighting is perfect

No feet.

Yeah, this last one is great! I have said in other posts, I am one who likes eye contact. You have very expediently taken the feet out of the equation as well. Great job! I can identify, though, my shoe size is 13.
