I had a friend from work, model for me to help improve my portrait techniques.

She is a pretty girl, that has low self-esteem, and she hates her picture being taken, i think i pulled this photo shoot off quite well.
I gave her the link to this post, so please give her your honest opinions about her and the pictures.

An addition to my equipment this time was an Impact 5-in-1 42"reflector kit.

There are a total of 8 pictures in this session, that i think are the best.

Nice work...get her to model for you at least once every week or so & you'll both get better (your technique & her self confidence)! Keep posting so we can watch the improvements!

That being said, the only thing I would have done differently, would be to shoot the shorts in the water & the long jeans out of it. The pants choices seem kind of backwards...given the locations.

Nice photos, nice looking young lady, very nice eyes she has. The water looks cold.

Really nice first photoshoot. I myself love the last one the best and agree the shorts in the water and the long pants out might have been better. Keep up the good work and post again, she's a very pretty girl and she will also gain confidence in herself as you get better in your picture taking. John

Good idea with the water and normal clothing, love the execution.

Nice shots. I don't think the selective color works well on the first shot. It may be the hairline. I can't tell for sure but it looks like alot of the stray hairs were coverted to B/W so they really stand out around the head.
