That's a nice catch and something I would have wanted to photograph, too. It gets abstract but I think it is fungus on old wood? Without the green leaf I can imagine an exotic undersea thing as well.

I like the fungus. Fungi have great shapes and textures. The foreground shadows are too harsh for my taste though. Perhaps they could be selectively lightened in PP, or a fill flash used to reveal what's in that deep dark triangle in the lower right.

cool subject. nice composition. i think in this shot veyr harsh sharpneing could work
