This is the first time I have posted a photo, I know there may be many things wrong with it but with you're help maybe I can learn.

I guess no one wanted to hurt your feelings :blah:so, I'll be first. Actually the color and sharpness are nice with decent DOF. It would be nicer if you captured it from the front instead of the rear. I know we have to take shots as they appear to us but, I'm not one for nature pictures (animals, insects, etc.) where the subject is not taken in it's natural setting. That's only my opinion. It looks like a beaautiful dragonfly!!! Maybe you could coax it to turn around next time.

As djb said, good shot, just would have been better from the front, and possibly centred a bit more. Dragonflies are not the easiest of subject to capture, unless it's very early and they are still waiting to warm up.

a different angle. i quite like it. its not like every other shot ou see. colours are nice. maybe mess arnd with some different crops and just run through a noise reduction masking out insect and i think it would clean up nicely
