Default Car pic

gday guys just wondering if this pic looks ok its takin with a pentax K20D and pentax 18-250 lens ive now got a sigma 17-70 f2.8 to try car pics any advice on ways to take pic it was taken in auto mode btw

First of all, I hate it when exhibitors leave their hoods up. I know they want you to see the work they've done on their engines, but it makes for uninteresting shots (for me, at least). In this case, both the hood and trunk lid are up. Second, the background is too distracting. Try taking the shot from a low angle so that the sky (or an interesting building/skyline) forms the background. Third, I suggest shooting slightly more toward the front of the car with the side showing. That way you can see the grill's features.
