It’s an evening shot of Vilnius (capital in Eastern Europe
) city’s one of business districts. Here it calls “Business triangle”.I don’t sure about right crop. Is it better to leave more sky here or more river’s water.

You could probably crop off a bit of sky at the top since there is no texture to it and its pretty plain. Id guess about 1/2 inch above the tallest building. The water texture is nice. Your photo needs a bit of punch to it. A bit more saturation so there is more contrast between the darks and mid tones.

I have to agree with Bynx, the fixes improve the photo.

I see "Oracle" in the distance... I'm in IT (the evil department
) so I notice these things. ![]() Great pic! Better after Bynx's edit. Last edited by vvcarpio; Nov 18, 2009 at 10:05 AM. Reason: Forgot (as always) to add my thoughts on the pic |

Well I tried some crop, I've cut some sky and also some space form the left, to get all attention on main buildings and river

Nice shot of Lithuania's capital. I think Bynx's colours are great, and a crop off the original is needed... maybe on Bynx's edit I'd crop a bit more off the building to the left (which takes up too much attention imho). Thanks for sharing.
Paul PS... I also have a feeling it is slightly tilted down to the right (ie. it is half a degree clockwise from "straight" - but I might be wrong, and it's just an optical illusion... or the effect of the bend in the river). |
