sounds right, i just picked up an sb-28 today for 25, so it all depends...

It's true about the flash pulse as for most of us we can't get to 1/2000s without being outdoors and most cameras won't sync at 1/2000s either. If you used high speed sync you will get a ghost.

I took these at 1/13s, didn't matter what it was, could have been a second, as long as the ambient light isn't being exposed at the settings used then the flash does all the work. The pulse of the flash is crazy fast like 1/10,000 or faster depending on the power used (more power the longer the duration). Water
