Nice image, i quite like the composition. The main thing that jumps out at me though is the eye is not sharp.

In photography, people will always immediately jump to the eyes of the main subject if there are eyes. These need to be absolutely crystal clear, pin sharp. As long as the focal point of the photo is sharp, in this case the eye, your whole photo will appear incredibly sharp.

Select around the eye, feather it a bit, play with the unsharp mask to get it really sharp, add a white dot at the top of the eye to make it look like a really sharp light reflection. You will make a good photo into a great one!

nice job

thanks guys for the input. I haven't been here in a bit, been out there everyday with my camera

It's taken a few weeks to learn how to work it, and how to learn the ins and outs of photoshop which i'm still working on

I do like the shot

Nicely exposed and i do like the depth of field in this shot

I just did a nasty clone out of the other bird behind and took away that funny blue thingie, its a nice shot and i do like it.

Again i would suggest you play with different crops to see what works. You want to try to use the whole frame as best you can.
