Default Coffee House Calcutta

The Indian Coffee House has several branches in Kolkata, including the College Street branch, Central Avenue branch, Medical College Kolkata branch and Jadavpur branch. These are favourite hang-out places among the students and youth, although one can see several old-timers frequenting the coffee houses on a regular basis. This is of the College Street branch.

Please rate how is this.I tried reducing shutter speed to signify movement.

I don't think the motion blur worked with the subject. That type of shot usually works much better with a lot more movement (busy street / train station etc). There just isn't enough movement here.

Additionally, your subjects fill the bottom 1/3 to 1/2 of the frame - so half of the frame is distracting from, rather than adding to your subject. The high walls/ceilings don't really add anything to the story you're telling so you don't want to include them.

Finally, the empty tables/chairs right in front of you. They don't really add much - and they force the people into the background

G'day mainak

Thanks for showing us part of your 'home-base'

I like the feel & tone of the image, tho the top half does not give me much visually to go on. I would suggest a crop of:-

This now contrates my eye on the busy-ness of the coffee shop; it still shows the overhead cooling fans + the people + the movement [that I like too]

Hope this helps a bit
