Wow, that's an intense look. Can't decide which version I like better. Both are well done.

It is a terrific photo. I prefer the color -- it is clearly a real person, whereas the B&W for some reason (maybe the shininess on the bridge of the nose?) at first strikes me as a rendering more than as real photo. On this kind of shot, you want the reality to be unmistakeable. I hope that communicates...

What critique, you post your portraits and the rest of us (at least me) try to get up to your level. Both pictures look great, the color version being my favorite of the two shots.

@Calicajun - I think there is lots of room for improvement in my work so i always strive to do better. There are photographers out there who's level of ability I strive for! ...There is always a bigger fish! ;-) Quote:

He reminds me of those little heads with super detail Made by Bossons in England, that people hang on their walls.
