Default Into the Wilderness.

Hi Guys,

Here is a few pictures I've taken of my mate, I was wanting to have your opinion on. To explain the injury he thought it'd be a great idea to go on the rope swing at night, was until his head connected with the tree!!!

#1 - I felt that the b&w enhanced the photo, Don't like that there isn't much variation between the ground and sky (but hey, snow and white clouds will do that)

#2 - Portrait. I think I could have composed it better with regards to features in the background.

#3 - Close up of wound day after.

All comments are appreciated.
Joe

Given the proximity of the injury to his eye,I'd say on balance he's a lucky chap..!
As for pic 1- exposing for the sky/snow and using a flash would yield a very different result...

Hi Simon,
We thought that too, was a lot worse when it happened blood all other his face

I was using my old olympus tough so didn't have much control over settings. Is there anyway that you'd be able to differentiate between sky and snow?

Given the camera you're using,I'm guessing the flash would have little impact..!
The metering on the said shot was ok,if you had a flash capable of "filling in" things would have been fine...
