I wasn't going to post this photo, because I'm not happy with the composition. This flower is in my yard , and I could not find a way to present it properly. I'm hoping some of you may have some ideas as to how I can improve the composition. This was shot this morning with natural diffused sunlight.

I'd simply try to soften the focus in the background, the subject is very nice but the backround is lackluster...and too much in focus. Perhaps try a larger aperture. Best regards,

Instead of looking down at the flower, get down to its level and take the picture horizontally or even looking upward. Move around the flower until you have suitable background that is far enough away to be completely out of focus.

Experiment. Take lots of pictures and keep the ones you like best.
