I was in Washington DC last week and took a picture of this flower near the White House. When I got back and looked at it I noticed a hard line between the center of the flower and the pedals. It looks "set in" for lack of a better word. What caused this? Is there anything I need to do to make this picture look better in the future?
Camera is a Canon S70. Thank you, Ron

Your aperture was too large for this flower so only some of it was in focus.* to get more of it in focus, try taking the picture in AV mode on your s70 and raise your f number to get more depth.
