you could try fooling the camera by holding a neutral density filter in front of the lens while the cam is mounted on a tripod... or in a pinch, even the lens of a pair of sunglasses. anything that makes the camera think it's darker than it really is will work, as long as it's clean anddoesn't introduce distortion or scratches or smudges into the image.
