Staples had the iP4300 through today for $70 after rebate. There will probably be more like that in tomorrow's paper. It doesn't make sense to me to pay $50 for a print head when you can get a new printer, head and ink tanks for $70.

Or upgrade to an IP5200.

I have the IP5200R (wireless printer) and it's pretty tasty.

If you can find one. They aren't making them anymore and the only new one I found on a shopping.com search was $519 plus shipping.

I was looking a month ago and found one cheaper, but it might have sold out. Even at the cheaper price it didn't seem economic to not just get the new printer. I still have some bulk ink for the iP4000 so it seemed worth the price for a while. But my old S9000 takes the same ink and I'll eventually use it. The tanks had been refilled enough I needed new ones anyway. The iP4300 is a little more hassle to refill as you have to get a second set of cartridges and not let them go empty or end up without a low ink warning.
