I noticed that my Canon MP780 has the 'Alarm' light blinking with the message "Check Printer Press [OK]". I verified that there was no paper jam and pressed OK - nothing happened. I have power cycled the printer but still no luck. The printer is not very old (approx 6-7 months) and is not very heavily used. I had the same problem once before. At that time I had hastily pulled out a jammed sheet of paper and had gotten the same error message. I had called Canon Tech Support and they had provided me a set of key presses that got the printer into factory default setting and everything started working fine. This time however they want me to take the printer into a service center.... Does anyone have the key combinations to factory reset the Canon MP780. I can get into the service menu - but the options are rather cryptic. Any help would be appreciated... beats lugging the unit to a service center.
Thanks.
