How can I get around the error message that won't let me print when one color cart is empty? I want to print in greyscale until I can get some new ink, but the printer won't let me print anything until I install new color cartridge. Is there a way to override this error message?
Thanks!

Hi,

In the setup/properties on My Epson C86 there is a check box for printing in black only.

I did find where you can click on print in greyscale- but it still wouldn't let me print anything, until I replaced the two cartridges that it said were empty. I thought maybe there was a way to overide this and print anyway.

No, it won't let you do that for two reasons:

Epson want you to throw a way quite a bit of ink (profit motive) — and — Epson don't want you to wreck your printer by running print heads without ink (altruistic motive.)
