A simple question...I'm looking for a good quality, fast, printer/scanner/copier which takes compatible cartridges (without having to reset chips or any other stuff).

Any suggestions.

Both Canon and Epson have chipped cartridges, You can get refill in printer cartridges for Epson (CIS) but the nine pin chips can be troublesome. Forget the Canon printers which take PG38/PG40 cartridges, no compatibles and they are now failing after first refill. The PG-5/CL-8 Canon cartridges can be refilled, but chips have to be disabled - no compatibles with chips. HP printers which takes O2 cartridges are OK as there are refillable compatibles, the rest of the HP lineup is useless. Forget Lexmark or Dell, no compatibles, only refilling. Brother is worth a look but check to make sure compatible cartridges are available as there are several new models released for which there are no compatibles yet

Hi,

Have you looked into the Kodak line of Printers??? They just came out with a new one. Their ink is very reasonable!
