Default Need a Printer to specialize in Matte paper

To whomever can help.
I'm looking for a printer that will deliver high quality matte paper prints of infrared images.
I had been using an Epson photo stylus 870.
It did quite well, but recently died.
I'd like to replace it with one that is exceptional at matter IR prints and will still give high quality color photos on glossy paper.
Has anyone any experience with this?
I'm interested in the Canon 9000, but looking at Steve's review, it has no matte paper selection option.
Thank you for your assistance.

Ira

The S9000 does have the Matte paper in the most updated driver. On my old S800, the Matte paper became an option in the settings for the media type when I updated the driver. I now have the i9100 and love its prints on the matte paper. Plus, the paper is 50 sheets for $12 USD.
