Just recently when trying to print pictures etc. the color comes out nothing like what is on my screen??:?

I've done all the maintenance cleaned nozzles, calibrated etc.

I've evn replaced theprinthead cartridge along with new ink!

Is there a setting I'm missing some where??

Thanks in advanced!

Carloscda39,

There is more to printing pictures than the printer.

Your monitor may not be calibrated properly. Therefore, what you see on the screen is not what the printer sees. Check elsewhere on these forums for help regarding screen calibration.

Example, if your monitor brightness is are off, say to bright and you adjust your picture to look good at this monitor setting, your pictures when printed will end up to be to dark. Likewise, if your monitor color for red is to dark and you adjust your picture to look good at this monitor setting, your print will end up with the reds to light.

There are devices with accompanying programs that are used to adjust monitor settings to a standard. Similarly, printers also have to be calibrated to accommodate the printer, ink and papers used to again have all of these items working to a standard. Again, there are devices and programs for printer calibration.

With all these things working properly together, what you see is what you will get.

Hope this helps.

one more thing to consider is have u changed the brand of paper?? or are you using cheap nesty inks

cheap paper is not worth buying, no matter how tempting the saving

Nope, same paper, canon only ink etc...

I never had to calibrate or adjust anything! Load my pictures into my pc use photoshop elements to print them with no problem.

But now all of a suddenI have the problem?!:?

Seems that the problem might be solved? I replaced all the ink & I think the magenta was the culprit....
