Default What is better - The i860 or i960?

I use my printer to print photos, but also do text. The text quality doesn't matter, (and they're both great)...so it comes down to

1: For the price, which is better
2: Forget the price which is better
3: Which one has cheaper ink in the long run?

Any idea how long before a widew carriage version of the 960 or 860 comes out?

Hopefully this answers your questions:

1. i860 is going to be far, far faster than the i960 when it comes to document printing. If photos are primarily the use then the i960 will be better.

2. i960 is better for photos.

3. Long term the i860 will be cheaper. It has 1 less cartridge plus the BCI-3 text black tank is dirt cheap per mL for your document printing.

It will be "a while" before the i9100 is replaced.
