Default constructing an ip4500 cd tray F

Hi,

I'm having trouble finding accurate measurements for canon's cd tray F.

I meticulously followed the specs from this link, but my printer will not accept the tray. This is the only spec I could find online.

I have reprogrammed the printer (5 easy steps) and reinstalled the european drivers. The printer accepts the tray at first, moves it back and forth, in and out, but when it tries to scan the top right reflector, the head just stops, and the printer kicks out the tray.

Previously, I built a B tray for my ip4000, which worked flawlessly for years. No luck with this F tray. I prefer making my own rather than the ebay alternative.

So if anyone has the correct specs, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Hello,
This is my FIRST post in the Forum.
I have the tray, and maybe I can help, I will try to post 2 pictures, top- and flipside.
Note there are 2 funny little "shark fin'sm that protude from the oterwise flat surface.
Also note the shiny reflectors on the bottom of the tray!
I believe the "hole" is used for the small-sized CD insert.
Good luck, Jan
