the only difference between the 2 is the M model comes with a small viewing monitor (hence the 'M')

Steve, in a review of the canon i9900 you posted a very informative scan and image pair revealing the gamut and resolution differences between the i9900 (and ip8500) and the older 9100 without the red and green inks. I would VERY much like to see the same color scans for the R300 (R200 base model) series and the R800 (with extra red and BLUE cartriges) for comparison. This would help very much in our decisions. Thanks for all of your great work.

P.S. did anyone notice that the i960 scan looks better than the new ip4000 scan as far as smoothness and dpi goes?? could this be canon trying to keep their high end ip8500 looking better? hmmm.
