Default Epson R300 - one colour tries to print!

I have a strange problem with the Light Magenta on my R300. I've rpelaced the cartridge (twice!), cleaned the heads (numerous times!) and when I print a nozzle check page, the Light Magenta starts to print the sloping lines, then nothing, then starts to print them again towards the bottom. It prints like this every time I run a nozzle check printout and with the two new cartridges. Help!! :-)

This is a pretty serious type of head clog. Since you have tried the cleaning cycle without result, your next step should be to try soaking the heads with Windex original formula, or household ammonia. Move the head to the cartridge change position, and then pull the power plug on the printer. The foam parking pads will now be exposed. Wet the pads with the ammonia or windex, and then plug the printer back in, and let it cycle. Let it sit overnight with the printhead on the wetted pads, and then try another cleaning cycle the next day.
