Default Epson 825 vs 785EPX, input please

I currently own an Epson Stylus Photo 785EPX. I'm making due with it, mostly because it was inexpensive when I bought it and it has been relatively inexpensive to operate. The only complaints I have about it are its slow print speed (about 8mins or so for a borderless 4x6 at 1440dpi), and the limits of its stand-alone printing (only up to 720dpi).

There is a good deal on an Epson 825 at the Staples store that I work at (refurbished for $69, with 4-in-1 PCMCIA memory card reader). After searching the net for reviews on the 825, I've only been able to find short and uninformative customer reviews.

If you have had experience, or at least know of print times and DPI limits on the stand-alone printing, please reply. I'm hoping that with the 825 being 5760dpi that the print times for the lower dpi prints are faster, and that the 'high' quality mode for stand-alone printing is higher than the mediocre 720dpi of the 785EPX.

Thank you.
